The Ballad of Aldric and the Sea In a land where the waves kissed the shore, And the winds sang songs of ancient lore, Lived Aldric, a sailor bold and free, Whose heart did long for the endless sea. His father, a fisherman, strong and wise, Taught him to cast nets ‘neath the skies, To read the stars and the moon’s pale glow, And follow the tides wherever they’d go. But Aldric’s soul was wild and untamed, Not bound to the land, nor by fame, His heart was ever drawn to the deep, Where the ocean’s secrets lay asleep. One eve, as the sun did set low, A storm arose with a mighty blow, The waves did crash, and thunder did roar, As Aldric sailed to the distant shore. His ship was small, but his courage great, He sought the sea, though it tempted fate, For in its depths, he believed there lay A treasure more precious than gold or clay.
