Eadric's Journey: A Tale of Grief, Love, and Redemption

  The Tale of Eadric the Brave In days of yore, when knights did ride, And kingdoms vast did stretch far wide, There lived a youth, with heart so bold, Eadric, whose story must be told. Eadric was born in a village small, Where the river’s voice did gently call, And the trees stood tall in the wildwood’s shade, Where the sun’s warm light, on soft earth, played. His father was a blacksmith strong, With calloused hands, he worked all day long, And his mother, wise with gentle grace, Wore a smile that none could erase. But war, as always, came to their door, A dark cloud upon the earth it tore, With iron and steel, the invaders came, And Eadric’s world was never the same. His father fell in the heat of battle, The clang of swords, the war-horse’s prattle, And his mother, too, was taken away, Lost in the winds of that fateful day.
